It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Earle Blanton Jr. of Lake Park, Georgia, born in Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on December 11, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elder Fred E. (Sam) and Juanita Simpson Blanton; and his grandchildren, Taylor Lane Lewis and Kimber LeighAnn Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lindsey Blanton of Lake Park; his daughters, Donna (Donnie Lewis), Terri (Rick Rutland) and Kathy (Timmy Nessmith); his grandchildren, Jordan, Cierra Neesmith of Cartersville, Dustin Lewis (Gina Marucci) of Tallahassee, Dakota Lewis of Tallahassee, Dillon Rutland of Thomasville, Jarrett Nessmith Thompson, Taylor Thompson of Acworth, Jessica and Travis Meeks of Powder Springs; his great grandchildren, Bobby Meeks of Powder Springs, Hayes Thompson of Acworth and Charleigh Brooke Nessmith of Cartersville; his brother Sidney; his sister-in-law Donna Blanton of Valdosta; his sister Mary Kate; his brother-in-law George Martin of Brunswick; and his close friend Aldean Dukes of Dasher.
