It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobbie Townsend Mullis (Lake Park, Georgia), born in Orlando, Florida, who passed away on November 19, 2018, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her son Franklin Stuart Mullis, III; her sisters, Doris Townsend Rabb of Darien, Dorothy Townsend Bailey of Waycross, Georgia Speed and Mary Lou Townsend Speed of Sebastian; her children, Perry Alan Mullis of Lake Park, Marcus Stafford Mullis and Barbara Constance Mullis Sayer of Valdosta; her daughter-in-law Claudia Collins Mullis of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Jennifer Johnston Steedley, Randy, Ellen Frances Mullis Welch, Dan, Asheville, Marcus Alan Mullis, Geri Lynn, Katherine Mullis Bulmer, Bryan, Robert Gregory Mullis, Leanne and Colby Jean-Anne Sayer of Valdosta; her great grandchildren, Sage Steedley of Valdosta, Reese Steedley of Valdosta, Jack Steedley of Valdosta, Hannah Bulmer, Ava Bulmer of Ringgold, Graham Mullis, Lana Mullis of Smyrna and Maggie Lou Mullis of St. Simons Island; her sister Lorene Townsend Howard of Cedar Falls; and her friend Ann Moore Dukes of Valdosta.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Valdosta-Lowndes County Habitat for Humanity or Valdosta City Schools Foundations, Inc. The family will receive guests following the memorial service at the home of Randy and Jennifer Steedley.
