He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Green Evans and Luna Mae Sheppard Evans; his siblings, Ray Sherrill Sheppard, Jesse J. Evans, Gloomer McCormick, Rosie Ogle, Opal Parsons, Rachel Lawhorn, Vyrie Vinson, Joe Evans and Lula Evans; and his pet Fido.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathryn Knight (Thomas Daniel Knight); his grandchildren, LeeAnn Brasher and Joshua Knight; and his great grandchild Vincent Brasher. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
