He is survived by: his wife Harriett Broadhurst Brown; his sons, Steven Brown and Scott Brown; his stepchildren, Benji Shepherd, Bill Shepherd and Barbie Whitley; his brother Hugh Brown; his nieces, Diana Maddox and Susan Maddox; and his nephew Charles Maddox. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
