He is survived by: his wife Susan Hanner Newell; his daughters, Tina Ferguson (Brian) and Shelley West (Donald); his grandchildren, Elizabeth West, Emily West and Don "D. J."; his siblings, Jacqueline Holcomb (Marion), Judy Rice (Don), Tommie Fuller (Charles), Beverly Davis and Jerry Michael Newell; and his brother-in-law Larry Davis.
