He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard English, Sr. and Rosell Barley English; his daughters, Annette Pugh English and Leslie English Matthews; and his siblings, Joshua English, Robert English, Henry English, Geneva English, Sangnetta English Hodges and Mary English Watts.

He is survived by : his son Heavenly; his wife Cheris Jones English; his grandchildren, Derrick Matthews, Jr., Richard Carter Matthews, Christian Matthews, Caden Matthews of Atlanta, Georgia and Tomekka Davis (Troy); his son-in-law Derrick Matthews, Sr.; his siblings, Roselle English Moody, Susan English Taylor of Ft. Gaines, GA and Barley English of Miami, FL; and his friends, Ricky Ward and Eddie Jenkins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
