He was predeceased by: his parents, Addis Buggs and Eunice Grier Buggs; his wife Veola; his granddaughter Lashae Andrews; his great grandchild Autumn N. Andrews; and his siblings, Wylene Bugg, Marie Bugg Holloway, Ruby Mae Bugg Smith, Birdie Gertrude Freeman, Annie Laura Cotton, Addis Henderson Bugg, Thomas Otis Bugg, Wiley Phillip Bugg, Cornelius Bugg, Calvin Coolidge Bugg and Welton Adolphus Bugg.

He is survived by: his children, Quinton Lamar Buggs (Delores), Teresa Andrews (Willie), Janice Lovelace (William) and Ceola Turner (Diann); and his sister Eunicestein Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
