It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Orren Arthur Gilbert of LaGrange, Georgia, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on September 27, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester A. Gilbert and Lucy A. Gilbert (Waudby); and his sister Peggy Ann. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Guthrie Gilbert; his children, Diane L. Grassley (Robin) of New Hartford, IA, Tracey A Heise (Timothy) of New Hartford, IA, Timothy O. of Dallas, TX and Thomas A. of Seattle, WA.; and his brother-in-law Michael Guthrie (Sharyn). He is also survived by one grandson, five granddaughters, 3 great grandsons, four great granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Gilbert-Guthrie Fund of the First United Methodist Church Foundation, or to West Georgia Hospice of LaGrange.
