With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Miriam McKeen Treadwell of LaGrange, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 13, 2024 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Will McKeen and Annie Wright McKeen; her husband Gerson "Tubby" Treadwell; and her sister Hazel McKeen Barfield. She is survived by: her daughter Donna Treadwell Askins; her brother Garvis McKeen; her brother-in-law Claude Treadwell (Jan); her grandsons, John Askins (Amber) and Jared Askins; and her great grandchildren, Tyler Askins, Wesley Askins and Logan Askins. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home (506 Hill St, LaGrange, GA 30240). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at the Restlawn Memory Gardens (2098 Mooty Bridge Rd, LaGrange, GA 30241).
