He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Delaney Jr. and Cordell Patterson Delaney; his son Antonio Delaney; his siblings, Bobbie Delaney and Charlie Mae Woods; his mother-in-law Rosie Holloway; his siblings-in-law, Alexander Render, Ernest Blake and Mary Alice Render; and his nephew Elgin Blake.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria Delaney; his siblings, Tom Delaney (Betty), Robert Delaney, Lillian Blake and Patsey Irvin (Michael); his siblings-in-law, Randy Brown (Trina), Jesse Render (Peggy), Shirley Edwards (James), Tammie Sheppard (Tim) and Bernice Render; and his close friends, JW Baker, Reuben Simpson, Lamar Suggs, Alan "Alley Cat" Phillips (Lenear) and Donald Darden. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Striffler Hamby Mortuary (1010 Mooty Bridge Rd, LaGrange, GA 30240).
