He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carie Veal and Sarah Udine Noles Veal. He is survived by: his wife Roxie Veal of LaGrange; his children, Stephanie Simmons of LaGrange, Chad Veal of Roanoke and Cody Veal of Hogansville; his grandchildren, Shelby Simmons, Lizabeth Simmons and Owen Veal; and his brother Virgil Veal (Alice) of Roanoke. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
