She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Horsley Traylor and Anna Elizabeth Warren Traylor of LaGrange, GA.; her sister Joann Smith (Bill); and her nephew-in-law John E. Fish. She is survived by: her sister Elizabeth Baarda (David); and her nieces, Jo Anna Fish, Mary Elizabeth Baarda (Beth), Laura Baarda, Ingrid Huey and Karen Cox. She is also survived by cousins, great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Traylor Cemetery Trust at PNC Bank.

“I am so sorry to hear about Mary Nelle's passing. We worked together at UT from when I was hired and until she retired. We remained in contact, particularly at Christmas, when we would exchange letters and gifts. I wondered how she was doing, as I did not hear from her last Christmas. It is just now that I am learning of her passing. My condolences to her family and friends. She was a true public health nutrition faculty mentor to me and I always will remember her as MNT. Betsy Haughton”
