She was predeceased by: her parents, John J. Brown and Mable Brown; her husband Guy Bentley Thompson; her son John Willis; and her sisters, Frances Himic and Bernice "Bunnie" Horton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jetta Ward (Randy), Rebecca Moore (Dudley) and Lorelei Messer (Jim); her grandchildren, Heather Noel Biggers, John Lee Richter (Kelsea), John Dudley Moore (Elizabeth Harper) and Aulston Collier Moore (Katie Rohde); her great grandchildren, Adam Biggers (Mary) and Landon Biggers; her sister Virginia Jackson; and her nephews, Edgar "Buddy" Horton and Jeff Jackson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews, and countless friends.
