Hurston; her daughters, Kimberly Hurston and Miranda Hurston; her grandchildren, ShaQuavious Harrison and Tridarrious Harrison; her great grandchildren, Elijah Hurston, Monquez Laye and Qua'Mauri Harrison; and her siblings, Carrie Mae Brooks, Fannie Mae Slaughter, Jewell Slaughter, David Slaughter and Jimmie T. Hurston, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Kelvin Hurston, Terrance Hurston (Laura), Chanda Thames (Antonio) and Stacy Laye; her grandchildren, Shalencia Hurston, Charles Hurston, Shabrilla Hurston, Fabian Hurston (Tiana), Jessica Hurston, MarQuavin Copeland (Shakina), Mondez Laye, KeOshinique Thames, ShaQuarious Thames, Terrionna Thames, Shereka Laye, Jayvianna Johnson, Carlos Johnson, Terrance Woods, Shaquana Lakes (LaKendra), Shanarie Frazier, Dominique Morris, Sanyoka Frazier and Antrione Frazier; her close friend Wilbur Truitt; her sisters, Mary L. Hall, Bertha M. Brewer and Rose Leemore; and her nephew Anthony Jerome Slaughter. She is also survived by thirty-two great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home (100 Corporate Plaza Dr, LaGrange, GA 30241). A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Confidence Missionary Baptist Church (705 Colquitt St, LaGrange, GA 30240).
