He was predeceased by: his stepfather George Heard, Jr.; his brother Ronnie Cofield; his brother-in-law Steve Childs; his grandparents, Annie Mae Cofield and Aaron Cofield; his aunts and uncles, Clara Young, Bertha Cofield, Bessie Cofield, Annie Ruth Cofield, Cora Cofield, Marie Allen, Ralph Cofield, Lonnie Cofield and Willie Cofield; his niece Tarvanisha Boyd; and his nephew Natorian Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Ashley Nicole Cofield and Bret Drew Cofield; his siblings, Hattie Ruth Childs (Steve), Margie Ann Cofield, Eva Hardy (Nathaniel), Horace Cofield (Linda) of LaGrange, GA, Shawn Cofield of LaGrange, GA, Danny (Sandra) and Melvin Cofield of Columbus, GA; his aunt Mary Ann Tucker of LaGrange, GA; and his nieces and nephews, Sabrina Cofield, Patunya Cofield, Chantriss Childs, Shinead Cofield, Donald Cofield, Donal Cameron, Travis Childs, Horace Cofield, Jr., Dereck Jones and Darin Davis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
