She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. William Richards and Jane Marion Richards. She is survived by: her sons, Christopher Sargent, Scott Sargnet and Jim Sargent; her brother Mercer Richards; her grandson Ethan Sargent; and her friend Sheila Rowe.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home (506 Hill St, LaGrange, GA 30241). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
