He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudy Parmer and Lavern White Parmer; his wife Sue Parmer; his children, James Parmer, Jr. and Karen Gentry; and his brother Roger Parmer.
He is survived by: his son Kenneth Parmer (C. J.); his sisters, Lamerle Kelly (Fred) and Faye Caldwell; his grandchildren, Steve Gravitt, Kevin Gentry, Leanne Gesselman, Latisha Parmer, Tiffany Pressley, Matt Parmer, Michelle Parmer, Paige Parmer and Allison Tucker; and his sister-in-law Pam Harris Parmer. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
