He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcolm Newbill and Loulie Yancey Newbill; his former wife Helen McClure Newbill; his wife Barbara Cottle Newbill; and his son Paul Newbill.

He is survived by: his sons, George Newbill (Janet) and Wayne Newbill (Angie); his grandchildren, Todd Newbill (Courtney), Staci Coffey (Jason), Rob Newbill (Lacie), Ryan Casper (Gary), Regan Mock (Taylor) and Melissa Newbill; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt Coffey, Mary Raine Coffey, Joy Coffey, Hollis Ann Newbill, Eason Newbill, Jackson Newbill, Jacob Newbill, Judd Newbill and Canyon Mock.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the ministries of Western Heights Baptist Church, 2382 West Point Rd, LaGrange, GA 30240.
