It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glennis Capes O'Neal of LaGrange, Georgia, born in Wedowee, Alabama, who passed away on March 13, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Creed and Hattie Lee Boyd Creed; her former husband Ray Capes; her husband James O'Neal; and her sister Willie Faye Martin.

She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Vayda and Timothy Capes (Kathy); her stepchildren, Sheila Hewett (Frank), Debbie Schmidt and Lenny O'Neal (Dot); her grandchildren, Josh Capes (Sally), Tabitha Smith, Ashley Mashburn (Keysa), Brandon Kyle Mashburn, Scarlet Cindrick, Tyler Vayda (Jessica), Brandon Jackson (Amber) and Kyle Hale; her great grandchildren, Annabelle Kaiser, Cadence Smith, Julie Smith, Marianna Capes and Hank Murphy; and her siblings, Margie Sue Creed, Gaynelle Wingard (Wendall) and Buford Creed (Dorthia). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
