He was predeceased by: his parents, Truman Alexander Buchanan and Kate Cannon Buchanan; his wife Vivian Ann Bishop Buchanan; and his siblings, Hugh Buchanan (Erma), Lloyd Buchanan (Charlotte), Dot Ford (Forest), Ruth Wilson (Willie) and Irene Blair (Joe).
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Buchanan (Terri Alise), Steve Buchanan (Robin), Andy Buchanan (Kim) and Michelle Buchanan; his grandchildren, Taylor Vivian, Jordan Kay, Heather Huddleston (Ben), Ashton Zambrowicz (Ricky), Kaitlyn Buchanan, David Buchanan (Michelle), Dallas Buchanan, Caleb Buchanan (Ashton), Landon Buchanan (Kelsie Cook) and Mason Buchanan; and his great grandchildren, Rook, Rhett, Ryland, Averett, Ellis, Nora, Brooks and Beau. He is also survived by several other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to Franklin Road Baptist Church or The Troup Baptist Association in honor and memory of Rev. Fred Buchanan.
