She was predeceased by: her husband John. She is survived by: her son John Varner (Lynn) of Surry; her sister Carolyn Jeffares of Atlanta; her daughter Rebecca Varner Underwood (Lee) of Cleveland; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Varner of Los Angeles, Jack Daley (Kate) of Roswell, Diana Daley of Brookhaven, Joseph Varner of Surry and Jim Daley (Rebecca) of Roswell, Georgia.; and her great grandchildren, Carson Daley, Luke Daley and Aubrey Daley.

August 5, one month before her 96th birthday, following an unsuccessful fight against the effects of the Covid-19 virus.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to memorialize Elynor are encouraged to make a charitable donation to the First United Methodist Church of LaGrange.
