She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Wilson Smith and Alma Lee Middlebrooks Smith; her husband Claude Bell; her former husband Bobbie Watkins; and her sisters, Sue Crowe and Linda Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Carla Pearson (Bobby), Mike Watkins (Jennifer), Kathy Fincher (late Donald Fincher) and Gregory Scott Watkins; her sisters, Lucy Allen and Marie Jackson; her grandchildren, Kimberly Hill (Justin), Steven Gearhart (Destinie), Matthew Watkins (Kelli), Jessica Watkins (Bernard McCants), Jason Poore (Rebecca), Jonna Dukes (Joe), Brittney Watkins and Luke Watkins; and her daughter-in-law Marcelene Yarbrough. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
