He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil M. Cotton and Zadie Hazel Cotton; and his son Joseph Earl Howard. He is survived by: his wife Linda Jo West Cotton; his children, Michael Cotton, Melissa Gibson, Susan Cotton and Pam Cotton; his brother Randall Cotton (Dianna); his grandchildren, Katie Shaw (Dustin), Trevor Strickland, Seth Clark, Donnie Howard (Janna), Dillon Clark, Wyatt Howard, Ricky Cotton and Heather Bonner; and his great grandchildren, Joseph Howard and Leah Howard. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
