He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Newman and Lera Griffin Newman. He is survived by: his wife Nancy McDowell Newman; his children, Michael Newman (Meredith) and Melanie Newman Harkleroad (Larry); and his grandchildren, Morgan Newman, Megan Newman Eady (Drew), Zack Davis and Madison Bates (Alan). He is also survived by extended family and friends.
