She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Henry Browning and Annie Lou Christopher Browning; her husband Charles Reese Hood, Sr.; her daughter Syndi Diane Powell; her siblings, Richard Browning and Charlie Browning; her son-in-law Bubba Powell; and her siblings-in-law, Rachael Browning, Delois Browning, Billy Joe Brown, James Daniel and Jim Davis.
She is survived by: her son Charles "Bubba" Reese Hood, Jr. (Kimberly); her siblings, June Brown, Billy Browning (Debra), Velma McCann (Elton), Jerry Davis and Johnny Browning (Wilma); her grandchildren, Charles Howard Powell (Lori), Catherine Elizabeth "Betsy" Allen (Chris), Ashley Nicole Hood McCann (Tony), Randall Harris Powell (Melissa), Amanda Jean Wilson (Bubba), Sloan Brasher (Justin) and Sierra Freeman (Josh); and her cousin Shirley Chipman Johnson. She is also survived by her numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her numerous nieces and nephews.
