He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Harris, Sr. and Willie D. Harris; his wife Virginia Harris; his children, Wanda Cotton and George Echols; and his sisters, Eva Jean Hall, Virginia Glenn and Angela Askew.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Nakeia Cotton (Michael), Charmain Stephen (Alvin), Ameia Williams (Rodney), Olivia Echols (Rodney), Courtney Hill and JaCoby Cotton; and his close friend Jerry Thomas. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
