He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Godfrey, Sr. and Mary Ethel Godfrey; his daughter Christi M. Godfrey; his sister Diane Godfrey Cotton; and his niece Trina M Craw.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis E. Godfrey; his children, Curtis Lamar Godfrey, Raymundo Godfrey, Catrice Godrey, Kimberly Godfrey and Chanta Dickerson; his siblings, Mary Craw, Etrulia Strozier, Linda Tucker and Deronich Godfrey (Elaine); his siblings-in-law, Albert Tucker, Jr., Frank Harris (Ann), Jimmy Harris (Mary), Catherine Harris and Dorothy Harris; and his nephew Darrell Craw. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
