Christine Walker Copeland Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christine Walker Copeland (LaGrange, Georgia), who passed away on November 21, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Walker and Ella Lee Walker; her significant other Arthur Lee Copeland (Pete); and her siblings, Palmer McGee, Willie Walker, Daniel Lee Walker, Walter Lee Walker, Veonnia Walker, Lee McKey (Buck), Mabel S. Miller, Lila Summers, Lela Dunlap and Ruby Kate McGruder.

She is survived by: her son Eddie Walker (Lillian); her grandchild Yolonda Walker; her great grandchildren, Daijeonna, Nyadirah and J. Malachi; her daughter Verdella Williams (Terry); her grandchild Demetrius; her great grandchild Harold Copeland (Patillo); her siblings, Eddie Lee McGruder (Zelma), Bishop McGruder, Lucille McGruder, Laura Mae Tucker (George), Gloria Price (Randy) and Catherine McGruder; and also, Edderick Walker, Sr., Zoriah, Brianna, Markevius, Nicole, Christopher and Wendy Grier. She is also survived by her husband, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren & great great grandchildren.

Before the 2020 pandemic, she was recognized by the church as one of the golden Saints, along with her lifelong friends at the church.
