She is survived by: her mother Virginia Phillips-Purnell; her children, Angela Renee Phillips Rutledge (Joseph) and Christopher Eugene Phillips; her grandchildren, Joseph Rutledge, Jr., Jamal Rutledge and Zachariah Phillips; her siblings, Hollis Phillips, Jr. (Christine), Lynn Marie Phillips, Susan Elaine Phillips-Waajid and Linda Faye Phillips; her aunts and uncles, Ruth Jennings, Mary Black-Ford, Theretha Black, Diane Hammett, Roy Huzzie, Frank Huzzie and Jessie Louis Huzzie; and her nieces and nephews, Danishia Paige, Karmen Waajid, Karen Waajid, Carols Phillips, Anthony Phillips, Bilal Waajid, II and Jamil Phillips. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
