He was predeceased by: his parents, Karie Putmon and Annie Ruth Boyd Putmon; his son Carl Lee Putmon, Jr.; his siblings, Royce Willis, Arthur Putmon and Thelma; and his cousin Bobby Boyd.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Tarvanisha Boyd; his children, Patunya Cofield, Nina Putmon, Alpheus Putmon, Donald Cofield and Billy Vogt; and his siblings, Minnie Burtis (John), LaVerne Elmore and Ricky Thompson. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends.
