He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Thomas and Bessie Lee Reed Thomas; his wife Dorothy Patillo; his children, Stephanie Patillo and Little Bobby Patillo; his grandson De'Jaylen Franklin; his siblings, Loreen Johnson, Willie Ernest and Alfred Thomas; and his great-nephews, Dearko Thornton and Delino Maddox.
He is survived by: his children, Shemeka Thomas, Betty Patillo, Tina Garrett, Tykenya Franklin, Montavius Franklin and Lamar Johnson; his great grandchildren, Carlos, JaBreka, Monroe, Cipreona, Alexis, Jamecorious, Kontavious, MarQuavious, Antavious, Ellis, Laniya and Jalen; his sisters, Gloria Strozier (Fred) and JC Thomas (Carolyn); his in-laws, Roosevelt Hanner and Fred Strozier; and his close friend Betty Reid. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
