He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward Templeton and Marie Walker Templeton. He is survived by: his wife Melba Hyatt Templeton; his son Rick Templeton (Leigh Ann); his grandchildren, Anna Caroline Templeton, Richard Holland Templeton II, Jackson Lane Templeton, Brandon Alexander Witcher and Brittany Alexis Witcher; and his former spouses, Diane McCarter, Martha Stewart and Billy Templeton. He is also survived by three children.

Flowers will be accepted or contribution may be made to Thornwell Children's Home, 302 S. Broad Street, Clinton, S.C. 29325 or the Disabled American Veterans (dav.org).
