He was predeceased by: his father Ellis Gates; his grandparents, Kell and Ella Cox; and his great-nephew Ca'Marion Walton. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Cox; his siblings, Carlos Cox, Christopher Cox, Quenton Cox, TaKari Cox, Dexter Cofield (Candis) and April Walton; his half-brother Ellis Gates, Jr.; and his close friends, Sarah Ann Kennedy and Patricia Cox. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
