He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Mary Alice Gates, Fannie Mae Cameron, Luke Stargill and William Asvery Cameron "Buddy"; his aunts and uncles, Dorothy Small, Vertis Little, Jimmy Cameron, Charlie Little and William Cameron; and his cousin Christi Godfrey.
He is survived by: his parents, Jerome Gates (Sylvia) and Mary Juanita Gates; his wife Tiffany Gates of LaGrange, GA; his children, Lovell Barnes, Amirah Gates and Ailani Gates; his godchild Jazea Lyles; his parents-in-law, Sharon Polnitz and Timothy London; and his siblings, Angela, Renardo Hardnett, Quinton Cameron, Demetrius Gates and Marcus Gates. He is also survived by nieces, nephews; and other relatives and friends.
