She was predeceased by: her parents, Mabrey Stitt and Bertha Green Stitt; her son John M. Hester, Jr.; her sisters, Jimmie Lee Harwell and Dr. Kathlene Stitt; and also Gerald Stitt, Sr..
She is survived by: her husband John Morgan Hester of LaGrange, GA; and her children, Patricia McBride (John) of Shelby, NC, Thomas Edward Hester (Carol) of Frisco, TX and Gary Hester of Acworth, GA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
