He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lee Ward, Sr. and Mattie Smallwood Ward; and his siblings, Joan Carpenter, Mary Kilgore, Sherry Blackmon Hyman, John Ward Jr., Kenneth Ward, Lee Ward and Darryl Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Robbie F. Ward of Kite; his children, Terry Ward (Regina) of Dublin and Rachel Ward Nesmith (Phillip) of Kite; his brother Paul Ward Casanova (Martin) of Tampa, FL.; and his grandchildren, Alayna Stapleton, Gracie Stapleton, Jim Stapleton, Raylin Stapleton, Hendley Hadden, Jaxon Stapleton, Wyatt Stapleton, Addison Ward and Heidi Ward. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
