He was predeceased by: his wife Ouida Lindsey Hood; his brothers, Joseph Hood, Winton Hood and Herman Hood; his son-in-law Matthew Tamblyn III; and his great grandchild Micah Fleming.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Tamblyn of Swainsboro, GA and Kathy Hood of Kite; his sister Blanche Simmons of Kite; and his grandchildren, Jeanne Pohl (Eric), Susan Fleming, Karen Hudson (Mitchell) and David Tamblyn (Hope). He is also survived by 14 Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
