He was predeceased by : his parents, John William Cross and Dorothy Nell Kight Murray; his wife Elizabeth Wynell Callaway Cross; and his sister Judy Norris. He is survived by : his children, Janice Nichols (Jerry) of Whitesburg, Michael Cross (Angelique) of Kite, Mary Nell Siskey of Florence, SC and John William "Sonny" Cross (Sherrie) of Rock Hill, SC; his sister Patti Thigpen; and his grandchildren, Misty Tyler, Amy Dameron, Brandy Owens, Brandon Nichols, Lance Cross, Ben Cross, Amanda Harry and Michael Cross. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
