He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sidney Meeks and Mollie Lurene Flanders; his siblings, Weldon Meeks, James Meeks, Clifford Meeks, Harvey Meeks and Willie T. Durden; and his parents-in-law, Reverend T. J. and Thelma Webb.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Webb Meeks of Kite; his sons, Steve Meeks (Nancy) of Kite and Andy Meeks (Mandy) of Kite; his sister Ruth Rountree of Swainsboro; his grandchildren, Trey Meeks (Stephanie) of Kathleen, Thomas Meeks (Sarah) of Dublin, Joshua Meeks (Kaylen) of Kite, Matthew Meeks (Nicole) of Statesboro, Cole Meeks (Sarah) of South Carolina, Marshall Meeks of South Carolina, Morgan Meeks of South Carolina and Sydnie Rae Meeks of South Carolina; and his great grandchildren, Jaxson Meeks, Harper Meeks, Delia Ann Meeks, John Wilson Meeks, Laramie Rayne Meeks, Carolyne Elizabeth Meeks, Margaret Meeks, Mallie Kate Meeks and George Ellis Meeks.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Bethel Church Cemetery.
