He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Hood and Bernice Jones Hood; his wife Susan Williams Hood; his granddaughter Audrey Hood; and his brothers, Johnnie Hood, Larry Hood and Kenneth Hood.
He is survived by: his children, Brandon Hood of Kite, David Hood of Kite and Kelly Burgamy (Jottie) of Wrightsville; and his siblings, James Hood (Candy) of Kite, Albina McGowan of Metter and Sandy Hodges of Swainsboro. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great grand-daughters and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
