He was predeceased by: his brother Edward Claxton. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Greenway Claxton of Kite; his children, Drucilla Lee Peebles (Steve) of Kite and Ron Claxton (Karen) of Kite; his siblings, Jimmy Claxton (Barb) of Kite, Billy Claxton (Annette) of Wrightsville, Otis Claxton (Marie) of Tennille, Clifford Claxton, Jr. (Susan) of Wrightsville, Gail Johnson of Canoochee, Kay Hall, Debra Lawson, Stacie Marsh (Kevin) of Kite and Peggy Hurst (Al) of Canoochee; his sister-in-law Patricia Claxton of Kite; and his grandchildren, Dustin Peebles, Christopher Peebles, Emma Kate Peebles, Anna Claxton, Amanda Claxton and Cameron Claxton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
