He was predeceased by: his parents, John Akin Baker and Amanda Cochran Baker; his wife Mary Elizabeth Hale Baker; his son Johnny Baker; and his sisters, Barbara Blankenship (Bill) and Jamie Simmons (Sam).
He is survived by: his son Marty; his daughter-in-law DeAndra Baker of Cartersville; his daughter Sarah (Sissy); his children-in-law, Don Jenkins of Kingston and Misty Jackson Baker of Adairsville; his grandchildren, Kristi Culver (John), Holly Coker (Alex), Mitchell Jenkins, Aliza Baker and Bryce Baker; and his great grandchildren, Cooper, Owen, Weston Culver, Pepper Culver, Cade Baker and Hudson Coker.
