It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carlton Godfrey of Kingston, Georgia, born in Rome, Georgia, who passed away on September 18, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Godfrey and Sarah Godfrey; his wife Martha Jo Godfrey; his daughter Gina Godfrey; and his siblings, Donald Godfrey and June Strickland.
He is survived by: his children, Carlton Godfrey, Jr. (Genise), Ken Godfrey (Kimberly) and Mavea Pruitt (Billy); his grandchildren, Kayla Abernathy (Mark), Kendra Boyer (Ty), Trey Pruitt, Bradley Godfrey, Taylor Worthey (Tyler), Brandee Godfrey, Alexis Godfrey, Courtney Godfrey and Gracen Pruitt; and his sister Carolyn White. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
