She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Joyce and Thelma Dykes Joyce; and her brother Donald Joyce. She is survived by: her husband Calvin Franklin Hortman of Kingsland, GA.; her sons, Chris Hortman (Jennifer) of Statesboro, GA and Mike Hortman (Dawn) of Kingsland, GA.; her siblings, Janet Davidson (Paul) of Macon, GA., Denise Barton (John) of Macon, GA., Thomas Joyce (Julie) of Missoula, MT and Dennis Joyce (Donna) of Macon, GA.; and her grandchildren, Heather, Brooke, Brittany, Taylor and Jake.
