He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McSwain and Annie Mae McSwain; his wife Anna McSwain; and his siblings, Isabelle, Robert, Johnny, Willie, Ernestine and Christine.
He is survived by: his children, Leslie McSwain, Debra Hubert and John McSwain (Kellie); his grandchildren, Bryan Thigpen, Jennifer Weis (David), James "Matt" McSwain, Logan Bradford (Alec), John "Caleb" Brown and Braedyn Smith; and his great grandchildren, Audrey Phillips (John), Blakelynn Bradford, McKenna Brown-Woods and Dorothy Steely. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
