He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Franklin Gunn, Sr. and Tressie Mae Cain Gunn; his brother Joseph A. Gunn; and his son James O. Gunn Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sara "Frances" Eason Gunn; his son Alexander Franklin Gunn (Sandy); his grandchildren, Emily, Will Gunn, Amanda and Bryson Gunn; and his siblings, Mary G. Hobbs Ward, Lois G. Hall, Doris G. Smith, Elaine G. Richardson (Andy), Judy G. Kent, Audrey G. Harker (Tom), Louie F. Gunn (Linda) and Delma W. Gunn (Dianne). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Because of the family's concern for public health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged.
