He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis McCord Sr. and Betty West McCord; his sisters, Janie L. Butler and Annie Mae Kendricks; and his grandson Adrien J. Harleman.
He is survived by: his wife Tessie Blount; his children, Cynthia McCord (Claude Loiseau), Sharon McCord, Erica Tennyson (Damean), Stephanie McCord, Johnny Jordan and Timothy Jordan; and his siblings, Delores Knight (Larry), Suzie Ivy, Mary K. McCord, Johnny McCord (Margaret) and James McCord (Susan). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
