He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jefferson Cantrell and Fannie Mae Truelove Cantrell; his wife Ann Hardy Cantrell; his daughter Susan Caneup; his grandson Walter Mark Smith; and his siblings, Douglas Cantrell and Elizabeth McPherson.
He is survived by: his daughter Kim McGrath (Donny); his grandchildren, Rue Perry, Taylor Perry (Jacqueline), Sarah Chisolm (Blake), Lauren Schoppman (Andrew) and Audrey McGrath; his great grandchildren, Kaylyn Smith, Jordyn Smith, Kenley Chisolm, Cole Chisolm, Luke Chisolm, Alden Schoppman and Harrison Perry; his great great grandchild Charlie Halverson; and his siblings-in-law, Phillip, Sara Dick and Betty Lowery. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
