He is survived by: his wife Dovella Anderson-West; his children, Tamarra West-Engle and Silas West III; and his grandchildren, Shakeela West, Tierra West, Keana West and Malachi Engle. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and several great-great nieces and nephews.
