He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Grady Hester and Inez Hester; his wife Nancy McDaniell Hester; his daughter Dana; his son-in-law Rod Miller; his son Christopher; his daughter-in-law Shanda Hester; his grandchildren, Hannah Miller, Claire Miller, Addison Hester, Lucy Hester, Meredith Hester and Corbin Hester; his sister Joy; his brother-in-law Edward Palmer; his brother Gary; and his sister-in-law Sue Hester.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shady Grove Baptist Church in care of Mike Grizzle, 5058 Newpark Drive Acworth, GA 30101.
